Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes
February 8, 2010

Department Heads:
Police Department: Chief Sheehan discussed the recent praises his officers had gotten from calls performed over the last week. Two, five year old children went missing. Officer’s Cain and Gailing responded and found and returned the children with no complications. The children were found a distance from the residence and near a fire pond. No further actions were taken. Officer Gorski responded in 4 minutes to an ambulance call and received a written card of appreciation from the resident and family.
Chief Sheehan would also like to be informed when meetings to discuss the reconstruction are held as he would like to attend.
No further department heads present.
Father Daughter Dance: Russell explained that he needed keys to be able to obtain the sound system from the Town Park to use for the Father Daughter Dance being held this Friday at the Grange Hall. Shoveling was discussed and Denise is working with Paul Flynn on that issue.
Reconstruction of upstairs was discussed and Steve Wilson and Chief Sheehan had some concerns as to where the Police Dept would be entering and various suggestions were discussed. No decisions made, will have another meeting later on to discuss more details.
Recreation Revolving Account and Recreation Business:
The Selectmen will be meeting with the Recreation Committee for the next 2 weeks to discuss accounts and the overall running of the park/concession stand. They discussed the overall purpose is to have the Park be able to sustain itself. Some questions on how to handle donations and where to put the donation.
Adopt –a-field program is up and running and donations of goods from various businesses were discussed and how to indicate to the public who they were. (Signs, plaques) Selectmen would like to recognize the donation whether monetary or goods, and a sign to relate gratitude for the donation. Mike would like to have a map of the Adopt – A – Field program that explains the whole process.
The Town Festival will be July 10, 2010.
Selectmen all signed off on bills brought forth for the meeting.
Motion to accept last meeting minutes by Russell, seconded by Mike. Accepted.
Motion to seal Executive Meeting Minutes from last meeting for one year by Mike, seconded by Rich to be sealed until January 25, 2011.
Next meeting to be held on February 22, 2010 at 7:30 pm at Town Hall.
Motion to adjourn meeting at 9:20pm, seconded. Meeting adjourned.
