The Town Clerk's office is able to print Birth, Marriage, Divorce and Death Certificates for any New Hampshire town from approximately 1988 to present. The fee is $15 for the first copy and $10 for each additional copy ordered at the same time. Older Town of Kensington birth, marriage, and death certificates are available as well. We would appreciate as much advanced notice as possible when requesting older records as we must have time to search and make copies.

Marriage Licenses may be obtained at our office. The fee is $50 and both applicants must be present and have ID. A marriage license is valid for 90 days after issuance. Please refer to Forms & Links / How to Apply for a Marriage License. Please arrive at least one hour to closing since this is a lengthy process.

You also may contact the State of NH Bureau of Vital Records at 9 Ratification Way, Concord, NH 03301 if you are not sure where the event occurred. They have records for the entire state. Their telephone number is 603-271-4650 and they can accommodate your request using a MasterCard or Visa.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TOWN OF KENSINGTON DOES NOT PERFORM ANCESTRY RESEARCH. IN ORDER TO REQUEST A CERTIFIED COPY OF A VITAL RECORD YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW THE EXACT DATE THE EVENT HAPPENED, EX: BIRTH, DEATH, MARRIAGE, DIVORCE.

An Application for Vital Record Certificate form must be completed, along with a legible copy of the requestor's driver's license (only immediate family members can request) and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
