Kensington Public Library

Joseph Chase Hilliard built our library in 1895. Today, the Kensington Public Library serves the community as a place to read, to learn, and to meet. Through our collection of books, audio books, magazines, and movies, and our public access computers with fast Internet connection, Kensington residents enjoy the benefits and services of a modern library while maintaining the warmth and friendliness of a small community library.

Since its inception in 1963, the Friends of the Kensington Public Library have responded to the libraries changing needs by organizing fund-raising projects and sponsoring diverse educational and cultural programs.

All Kensington residents interested in supporting the Library and its programs are welcome to become Friends. Application forms are available at the library.
